Ability to update Campaign and Shared Budgets from within Adpulse.

You no longer need to go to the Google and Microsoft Ads interfaces anymore in order to adjust your Campaign and Shared Budgets. Within each Budget you now have a Budget Allocation tab, this will display the Campaign and Shared Budgets within your budget and you can update the budget amounts directly.

Note: this does give you the ability to increase or decrease budgets, so make note of this when updating. There are Current, New, and Variance totals at the bottom to show the impact of your updates

  • Click 'Edit Budget Allocations' from the triple dot menu

  • Review and update any of the included rows, using the 'New' column

  • Press 'Update Budgets' and confirm via the modal

  • The updated budgets are sent to the respective platforms immediately

Budget Allocation Recommendations

As you can see from the above, there is a 'Recommended' column within the Budget Allocations tab.

Here you can update the allocation of budget between the included campaign budgets/shared budgets. You can manually update the budgets using the "new" column or accept our recommended budget adjustments, then submit the updates to the Ad Platform. Use this to reallocate budget from poor performing campaigns, or to increase the budgets for ones performing well. You can read more on How Budget Allocation Recommendations are calculated

  • Click 'Edit Budget Allocations' from the triple dot menu

  • Review the Recommendations and you can either

    • Update rows manually with the recommended values

    • Select 'Accept All Recommendations', with will update the 'New' column with all the recommended values

  • Press 'Update Budgets' and confirm via the modal

  • The updated budgets are sent to the respective platforms immediately

New AutoPacing Algorithm

We have released another AutoPacing algorithm, so you can choose between Linear Pacing and Responsive Pacing - Read more

Linear Pacing (default)

When Linear Pacing is best:

  • You have a small number of campaigns in an Adpulse budget, and you are looking for a smooth spend pattern across the month.

How it works:

  • Looks at the budget that is remaining and the time available to spend it, then allocates that budget evenly across the remaining days. Read more - How does Linear AutoPacing work?

Responsive Pacing

When Responsive Pacing is best:

  • When Linear Pacing is resulting in underpacing, or you need more aggressive budget adjustments with the potential for budgets to be set higher than your daily target spend (within limits) with the goal of 100% pacing.

How it works:

  • Sometimes budgets need to be set higher than your actual spend target in order to encourage the bid strategy to spend your daily target. This algorithm builds on the linear pacing calculation by more aggressively increasing budgets artificially (within limits) in order to raise the daily spend to where it should be.
