Revised rolling KPI targets

We have updated how the 'Last x Days' KPIs work, and as such have updated the labels.

  • Last 30 days = Last Period

  • Last 60 days = Last 2 Periods

  • Last 90 days = Last 3 Periods

The reasons for the update:

1. The 30/60/90 date ranges didn't work particularly well for weekly or custom time periods.

2. If using 'Last 30 days' on a monthly budget, as you reach the end of the month the target will always equal the actual.

The new period-based KPI will always look at the previous period, so; if a monthly budget, Nov will look at Oct; if a weekly budget this week will look at last week.

What you need to do: Nothing - we have migrated the Last 30/60/90 day KPIs to Period / 2 Periods / 3 Periods

We think this is a better solution to the rolling KPIs, but if you have comments or questions, please let me know at [email protected]

Ability to set a start day for a scheduled budget

When you create a new weekly or monthly budget you can now specify a start day:

  • Monthly - select a start day of the month. There are a couple of things to note:

    • if you choose the 29 or 30: Your budget period will begin on this day of the month for all months except February, where it will begin on the 28th (or 29th in a leap year).

    • if you choose 'End of month': Your budget period will always begin on the last day of the month, regardless of how many days are in that month. For example, in February your budget will start on the 28th (or 29th in a leap year)

  • Weekly - select the day of the week

Budget export

You can now export all the budget and KPI data from the Budget/KPI page.

  • Filter the rows to select the data you wish to export - or export it all

  • Select a date range or pick a custom time period

  • Press export to download a CSV of the data

Sticky 'save' button on editing/creating budgets

Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference...

The save button will now scroll with you when editing and creating budgets - no more having to scroll back to the top!
