Types of data sync

Full sync
Performs a complete refresh of all data for the selected ad account, replacing the data in Adpulse with the full dataset.

Partial sync
Only pulls in data that has changed since the last sync, making it faster and more efficient.

Note: this uses the changes listed in the changelog for each platform, and there can sometimes be a delay in executing something in, say, Google Ads, and it appearing in the Google Ads changelog.

Connection sync
Checks that Adpulse still has valid access to each imported ad account.

Automatic sync schedule

Hourly

  • Google Ads and Microsoft Ads – Partial sync

  • Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Amazon – Full sync (partial sync not available via their APIs)

Every 6 hours

  • Connection sync for all platforms to confirm Adpulse can still access imported ad accounts.

Every 16 days

  • Google Ads and Microsoft Ads – Full sync

  • Other platforms – Not required, as they already perform a full sync every hour.

Manual sync options

You can trigger a manual full sync if you need to refresh all data immediately. Manual full syncs:

  • Can only be triggered once per hour per ad account or budget.

  • May take a few minutes to complete, depending on the account size.

Ways to trigger a manual full sync:

  1. From the Budgets page – Click the triple-dot menu next to a budget and select Manual Full Sync. This will sync all ad accounts linked to that budget.

  2. From Settings > Ad Accounts – Click the triple-dot menu next to an ad account and select Manual Full Sync.

  3. When creating a child budget – Use the Manual Full Sync option during setup.
