You can automate the Actions for some Optimizations and edit the configuration of others. See the list of Optimizations that can be automated or configured below.

Automation examples:

  • User Location Targeting: Automatically update any set to 'People interested in your target locations' to 'People in or regularly in your target locations'

  • Opti-Score Is Low: Automatically dismiss any recommendations

Configuration examples:

  • No Recent Changes: You can configure the Optimization to check if changes have been made to the Ad Account for the last 14 or 28 days.

  • Severity: Change the severity of an Optimization to control how you are notified about it. Read Setup Notifications for Alerts and Optimizations <insert Link>.

What you can automate

  • The Actions for many of the Optimizations, see the list below

  • Disable an Optimization for a selection of or all ad accounts

What you can configure

  • Edit the settings of some Optimizations, see the list below

  • Change the severity of an Optimization

How to automate or configure an Optimization

  1. Find the Optimization. Open its severity section if you need to.

  2. Select the automation icon, a circle with an A, at the right of its row.

This opens the settings for the Optimization in a single step.

Automation

Choose which Actions are applied automatically to which accounts, or disable the Optimization for accounts where it does not apply.

Automations are applied in order:

  1. Disable the Optimization for the accounts you select.

  2. Automatically apply an Action, such as Automatically Pause Sitelink or Automatically Remove Sitelink, to the accounts you select.

  3. Enabled with manual actions: any accounts that are not disabled or automated. The Optimization still runs daily, but you complete the Actions manually.

Select accounts for each option with a filter, such as a tag. The number of accounts selected is shown beside it, and Preview lists them. Select Save when you are done.
