How to export data using the Adpulse Google Sheet extension'

Updated this week

The Adpulse Google Sheets extension is still in development. The article below only relates to testing, which is not accessible for users currently.

This article assumes you have installed the Google Sheets extension and connected it to your Adpulse account. If you have not yet done then, then read "Google Sheets Extension - How to set it up" first to get it up and running

Overview

Adpulse has a Google Sheets extension that allows you to export data easily into a Google Sheet. This export can then be refreshed according to a schedule, and even a CSV can be emailed on the schedule as well.

This article covers how to install it and then connect it to your Adpulse account.

How to export data using the available filters

1. When you open the extension, you'll have three options for the three different types of data exports:

  • Budget data

  • Budget Spend only data

  • Account metrics

These are the same exports that are available in the app.

2. Once you have selected one, you then see data filter options. These filters are the same as in the app:

  • Time range

  • Platform

  • Ad Account name

  • Tags

Use these to filter down the data you want to export.

3. Press Run, and the sheet will populate with the chosen data

How to schedule data refreshes and receive updates via email

1. Follow the steps above, but rather than hitting Run, click Schedule. You'll be presented with scheduling options:

  • Schedule Frequency:

    • Hourly, daily, weekly, monthly

  • Sheet name:

    • Enter the name of the sheet where data should be written (e.g., "Reports", "Data")

  • Option to have it emailed to the account logged into Google on the schedule chosen

When choosing the schedule frequency, you can select a time increment relevant to that schedule:

Schedule

Selection

Hourly

Minute of the hour

Daily

Hour of the day

Weekly

Day of the week

Monthly

Day of the month

2. Click Create Schedule

You can have one schedule per Google Sheet. The scheduling will not work across multiple tabs within the same sheet.

You would need to create multiple Google Sheets to host multiple data when scheduling
