How to create new Ad Accounts in Microsoft Ads
Updated over 8 months ago

You can create new Ad Accounts in Microsoft Ads without leaving Adpulse - and you can use Google Ad account data to make even faster.

You will need

  • An existing Microsoft Agency Manager Account (the equivalent to a Google MCC). If you don't have one yet you will need to create one.

  • Your Microsoft Agency Manager Account connected within Adpulse (if you haven't connected it yet you can do that in Settings > Connections.

How to create a new Microsoft Ads Account

Navigate to Settings > Import Accounts and click on "Create Microsoft Ads Account". Alternatively, you can choose the triple dot menu to the right of the client's Google Ads account and choose "Create MSA Account".

Part 1

  1. Select Microsoft Connection - Choose from the list of Microsoft Connections you have registered in Adpulse. If you have multiple Microsoft Ads connections registered with Adpulse, they will display here for you to choose which connection should be used and therefore which Agency Manager Account.

  2. Select Manager Account - Choose the Agencies Manager Account you want to create the new Ad Account within.

  3. Select Primary User - This is the email address of the user in your agency that will be attached to the new Microsoft account as the primary user. This person can then invite the client or set up billing details as they will have full administrative rights to the new account.

  4. Select Google Ads Account - Select the advertiser's Google Ads Account to copy the details over to their new Microsoft Ads account. (optional)

Part 2

  1. Ad Account Name - Enter a name for the new ad account. This can be anything you like, although we would suggest making it the same as the Google Ads account name.

  2. Advertiser Name - This should ideally be the business name for the advertiser, although a very common option is to make this the same as the Ad Account Name above.

  3. Advertisers Address - Enter and validate the advertiser's address

Once the address has been validated, move on to selecting from the dropdowns:

  • Market country

  • Microsoft Ads Interface Language

  • Currency

  • Industry

Press Submit

Please note: if you have not selected a Google Ads account to base the new MSA ad account on, you will also need to enter the timezone for the new MSA Ad account in Part 2.

Confirmation

You will get a confirmation page displaying the ID's for the new Manager account and Advertiser account.

From here you can select 'Import Ad Account' to import the ad account into Adpulse immediately.

Potential error messages:

Please click “Back” and choose a valid Agency Manager Account in the “Select Manager Account” dropdown box.

This error occurs if you have chosen a Client Manager Account instead of an Agency Manager Account in the first screen (the dropdown box titled "Select Manager Account"). Just click the "Back" button and choose the correct Agency Manager Account from the list to proceed.
